Building on the vision and achievements of Talentjourney, several spin-off initiatives have emerged that continue to strengthen vocational education and training (VET) across Europe. These projects focus on applied research, digital transformation, and regional innovation, ensuring that learners, teachers, and communities remain at the forefront of technological and societal change.
Challenger is an Erasmus+ initiative that promotes applied research and innovation in vocational education and training (VET). By connecting students, teachers, and companies, the project develops practical solutions to real industry challenges. It fosters collaboration between education and business, helping learners gain hands-on experience while strengthening innovation capacity in VET schools.
Digitrajni učitelj focuses on supporting teachers in their digital transformation journey. The project provides tools, resources, and training opportunities that enhance digital competences and pedagogical practices in VET. By empowering educators with digital skills, it ensures more engaging, innovative, and future-ready learning environments for students.
The Coaction Initiative fosters regional excellence by developing makerspaces as hubs for collaboration, creativity, and innovation. It brings together VET providers, companies, and local communities to co-create solutions for regional challenges. The initiative strengthens the role of VET in regional development and supports the growth of entrepreneurial and technical skills among learners.
The DIGIKOMPAKT project (2024–2025) delivers non-formal training for residents of Slovenia aged 30 and above, focused on acquiring both basic and advanced digital competencies.
Through practical courses and personalised guidance, participants improve their digital literacy, confidence, and safe use of digital technologies. The project strengthens digital inclusion and lifelong learning, preparing citizens for the demands of modern work, everyday life, and active participation in society.
The UIZI project (2025–2026) focuses on bringing artificial intelligence (AI) closer to young people in Slovenia. Through non-formal programmes, workshops, hackathons, and competitions, the project develops digital competences up to level 6 of the European DigComp 2.2 framework. UIZI introduces AI in an accessible, practical way, strengthens creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, and fosters interest in STEM careers and future-oriented professions. The initiative also raises awareness of digital safety, responsibility, and inclusion.
